THIS SERVICE IS IDEAL IF YOU : 
would like help from a successful, experienced business person who has imported products from small parcels to regular 40 X foot containers for several years.
wants to know everything needed to be able to get products from anywhere in the world to your UK  address efficiently.
Need help with knowing,  understanding and setting up everything you need for the importing itself, ie EIRO numbers, Commodity Codes and Duties ( tax you will pay on your products as they land in the UK)
need help working out your true actual costs of each product product (this is what you paid per product including the shipping, transport and if you are going to use a shipping agent it will include their fees too
 
 
THIS SERVICE INCLUDES : 
a signed and dated NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement) sent to your email address before discussing your business idea. This is an agreement that states that I, Caroline Hodson, of Sunflower Compass will not discuss your idea with others and/or use your idea for my own gain without your written and signed permission to do so.
a pre- arranged one hour phone or video call (whichever you prefer) so I can start to get an understanding of you, your situation, your business, the products you are importing and the country or countries you are buying your products from.
 help applying for your EIRO number (Economic Operations Registration and Identification) number which you need for customs clearance.
help finding the right commodity codes for your products.  Every product you bring into the UK to sell needs a commodity code assigned to it- this means that you will pay the correct Duties on your products and prevents delays at customs when your products land in the UK.
additionally I will help with regards the VAT,  as of course there is VAT to pay when your shipment gets to the UK, but if you are VAT registered you can "Defer" which is useful for maintaining cash flow.
Help working out if now, or in the future you may need a Currency Company.  ( I use a Currency Company because I buy regularly from countries outside the UK, I tend to get better exchange rates than I would from a bank and love that I can just send them the amount and they sort it all out for me.
I will help you decide if you need a Shipping Agent.
and finally and just as importantly I will build a spreadsheet for your products so you know your "true cost "for each individual product on that shipment. Knowing your "True Cost" is vital in order to know how much to sell your products for so that you make the profit you want.  I will of course show you how to use this sheet , so you can utilise it for every shipment. For example- one of the products I buy regularly from a manufacturer in China, costs my company £6 per product (depending on the currency rate), I buy this in container loads and when I share the extra costs of shipping, duties and transport to my depot the actual true cost of this product , just getting to my depot is £9 per product. Percentage wise that is quite a hike but the spreadsheet I have designed will ensure whatever the exchange rate or additional costs you will KNOW your "True Costs"
 
All of this, put together will mean you are READY & SET UP FOR IMPORTING AS A BUSINESS.
