PORTFOLIO

The name and logo for Kent Decking Supplies was created so we could attract a "local" customer base. Our name says exactly what we do and the area we service and our logo and overall branding is clear, simple, friendly and memorable.
This is a "Brochure" Website which means that customers cannot buy online but can see what we do, where we are, that we have a depot with stock and outdoor displays and can view all the products we have on offer. We chose not to sell online because we are servicing a local area and want to encourage potential customers to come and see us, have a personalised enjoyable experience with our lovely friendly team and be able to choose their decking from outdoor displays.

Our national Ground Screw and Decking Accessories business was created because we were already stocking and selling Ground Screws with Kent Decking Supplies, but realised because of their size (under 1 meter in length) that we could easily courier Ground Screws and all other smaller decking accessories nationwide. However, in order to be competitive on price and have a better product than our competitors, we needed to design and manufacture our own Ground Screw Systems.

Because, with Kent Decking Supplies, I was already experienced in working with Chinese factories and importing into the UK, we found a great manufacturer, designed and tested our own Ground Screw System and then ordered the first batch.

After researching the market and our competitors it was clear that their was a gap in the market. All other companies selling Ground Screws had ,and have, very bland names and branding, so although we knew we had a brilliantly designed Ground Screw System at a good price, in order to get attention and repeat orders from potential trade installer customers ,we needed to come up with a memorable business name and branding that stood out from the rest.

We thought of loads of different names but loved the idea of a character, and because Moles burrow into the ground and "Mighty" is a great word for stability and strength, we very excitably decided on "Mighty Mole" . We designed several different logo's while we were waiting for our first batch to come in and decided on the above as it is simple, fun and memorable. The minute we made the decision on the name and logo we applied for the trade mark ( see lessons learned in the "ABOUT "page)

This is an ecommerce website so any customer at any time can order what they need online, in the knowledge they will receive their order within 2 working days. This fun memorable brand is emulated throughout the site and has served us very well from even the first month of launching.

Because Mighty Mole was such a success and we loved the "Mighty" name we re-branded all the decking products, we have manufactured specifically for us, and ended up with several "MIGHTY" branded products- Mighty Deck, Mighty Crown, Mighty Fixings, Mighty Joist Tape, Mighty Lumber and Mighty Fence.

Last year we decided it would be a good idea to offer all these products nationally and created a new relevant and additional Mighty Mole Trading name "MIGHTY DECK" which is our national decking ecommerce sales channel. site that would appeal to customers all over the UK that are looking for composite decking.

Although I had learned how to build ecommerce websites with Mighty Mole, the MIGHTY DECK website needed to be a completely different style from our other sites in order to attract a specific type of decking customer nationally. The funny thing is we get more Mighty Mole Ground Screw orders through this site than our actual Mighty Mole website.

This has proven to me that different branding and website designs will attract different customers, even if it is exactly the same product.

Alan, after 35 years as a plumber and 20 of these years, specialising in converting bathrooms (and any type of room ) into Wet Rooms and Mobility Adaptions, decided he should set up a separate company, brand and website with all focus on his specialisation.
Alan already knew his industry, market, unique selling points and target customer inside and out and just needed help developing a memorable brand and website to attract specific customers that need help from a very highly skilled specialist. Alan knew and knows his biggest unique selling point is his specific skills and experience and knows that there are a lot of companies out there that advertise in his market but employ people with little experience and skills to actually do the job. He wanted to solve the problem of people being able to find an expert in this field in the South East of England that actually make the whole experience from enquiry to finished job impeccable.
My job was to develop a brand and website that communicated exactly that.

The Wet Rooms Kent Website is a Brochure Website that attracts customers who either want their tired bathroom converted into a dream bathroom or wet room or need their bathroom adapted to their specific disabilities by an expert who can make their life so much easier.
Alan definitely made the right decision as within 2 weeks of going live with his new company and website he and his team are getting booked up weeks in advance and are making so many people very happy.

Candida is a well known, highly respected expert in her field of a specific minerals industry and decided to set up a dependable company for clients that need high quality sourcing and logistics in this specialised market.
Candida already had a great logo and wanted a website that her potential and existing clients could easily navigate to get the information they required.

The Petrus Minerals Website is a "Brochure" Website" that defines what they do, which minerals they source and deliver, due diligence and the qualifications of each person involved in the business. This website is focused on their niche offering, what they do, why they can do it better than their competitors and the specific qualifications and expertise they have as individuals and as a company, to be able to deliver to their clients requirements.
